You know when people look at you funny, making you think you have some sort of growth on your forehead? That's how I felt at HC's orientation. When we all had to stand up and join whatever group we were put in (I was with the Boston REHM Sox. Sobs and anguish as there were only two other Yankee fans), I didn't see one person that wasn't fair-

you should come to yonkers with me, i, a white female, am the minority you'd love it. DOn't worry about it. I went to my school orientation that was also overnight and all that shit and while the school is located in the bronx, these girls were all northern european wasps with their abercrombie and burberry bags, talk about feeling out of place. SHit sucked. But hey, it gets better right!

it will get better i promise. not all the white people are bad. well i know most of them are snobs, but youll find people like that everywhere. i know youre looking forward to ALANNA weekend and it is nice, but a word of advice. dont cling to the people you meet there because youre going to miss out on a lot of other stuff. i felt out of place too, but in the end i found a group of friends that to this day i still have. i loved holy cross and wish i could have stayed. make the most of your time there. i love you and you know where i am if you need anything.
