We're a small enough community that we should be able to work together more. There are towns and villages larger than our population, and they get along and get things done a lot better than we do. We have next to no community spirit

Why don't we? I don't get it, I mean, even the other countries can sort of work together at the United Nations, we're only a few hundred people, we should be able to rally!

Maybe we need a leader?

I think a big part of it is the uncertainty of everything. People come and go from Discedo all the time, but not by choice. You never know who's going to be here from one day to the next. That kind of uncertainty can make a society break down... and it probably makes it even harder to build one in the first place.

I think that would be a good idea, yeah. I suppose the closest we have is the man in charge of the police.

I guess that makes sense. Though, I would think the uncertainty of it all would draw us closer.

I don't think he would make a good leader though, police are one thing, but community heads are another. You need someone everyone can trust, or at least see as fair.

You don't know that, maybe we could invent it if we worked together? Like, science mixed with magic mixed with awesome! I saw a show like that once, they made incredible things, if we tired we could too!

But why aren't we a community? We are stuck here, all of us, in the same situation. We have the same enemies, the same goals, and share the same space. Why can't we be a community?

You just answered your own question. None of us want to be here. We just want to get out. So what's the point of working in a place you hate, that you know you're gonna leave someday?

The point would be to work together to leave quicker? Not just sit around and fight and hope that you might be one of the people who leave within a month instead of a year or two. Since we all want out, and want to be safe, wouldn't it make more sense to make our situation easier? Aren't people suppose to band together when facing a common threat?

Isn't that the best name!? I was trying to figure out what to name our super magitech, that's magic and science and technology combined you know, abilities when we start making our escape weapons. They will be 100 feet tall! Have laser beam eyes! Rockets, and their arms will super fist rockets!
