no. she sleeps.

she's awake?

the nurse gave her twelve to thirtysix hours on saturday morning. it's tuesday. and while the rest of her body is in such a hurry to be done with this world, her heart and lungs keep on. do you see? even in dying, she is a remarkable woman who exceeds expectations.

they're sending aunt lu home tomorrow. they're cutting back on her meds, and upping the sedatives. the difference between when kaja and i visited on wednesday and when we went up on sunday was jarring. she cried on sunday... she kept crying out that she was scared because she knew what going home means. hospice is setting up in the morning, ( Read more... )
