i am feeling really burst right now. I was looking into colleges. and I was at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley's site. I was loving it, but then i got a look at their application process. They mainly just want photos, which isn''t so bad. But they want collages and documentaries and stuff i've been working on for a long time. Photography is

Ahnn, poor Rini! Don't give up! I know you've gotta get applications in soon, and those things (collages and documentaries) take a lot of time. It's not fair sometimes how colleges pick and choose using flimsy rubrics. Keep looking for loopholes in their system. And if it comes down to it, you know there are lots of other great art schools out there. Even if you end up going to a school that isn't specifically geared to art, you'll still meet some fabulous professors and have the chance to do what you love. So don't give up just cuz things get tough! We can do it, right? ^^-

thanks i really needed that. i have this thing where i think the only way i'm going to get a good education in photography is if i go to an art school.i have to start gearing my mind to more probable schols, like some that we can actually afford

Don't stress too much Rini! The beginning of senior year is uber-stressful for everybody, and the thought of college is crazy annoying. But you WILL get into a good school and you WILL get a good education if you really want it. Keep doing what you love, work hard, and it will work out -- take that from someone who panicked more than a panicking thing on fire during the application process!!!!

i know it will turn out alright. but i also have to make a portfolio. that is in addition to essays, 2 ap classes, applications, and sats, and early admissions, and passing, and a job, and horse shows, and band rehearsals, and band competitions. not too much. i'll have PLENTY!!! of time
