The scene right after the great tree was destroyed. Ash is raining down everywhere like snow, and the 3D makes it look as if it's snowing inside the theater. WOW.
In general, the movie made a fantastic case for the legitimacy of the 3D format. Not coincidentally, Sony has approved a 3D Blu-Ray format. Way to go!
