Freddy could cook, not many people knew this about him or believed it, but it was a true fact. He wasn't able to really pull anything fancy, but give him a pot and a pan and some ingrediants and he could prabably whip up something decent. Not that he ever really used this gift back home, living alone and eating ravioli out of the can and cereal out ( Read more... )

Since they had mentioned eating outside Anita decided to go with comfort, so for once she was actually not wearing as much black as she could possibly get away with.

She made her way to the agreed upon spot still slightly afraid of all of this and willing to accept how crazy it was for her to be doing it, but at the same time how much sense it made. This of course only made it a much scarier proposition.

"You actually found a basket?" She couldn't help but smile. She wasn't sure why she was surprised, but at least it was a pleasant one this time.

Freddy broke into a grin when he saw hr coming, and managed a light hearted shrug as he took a final drag off of his cigarette and stomped it out. "Yeah, took a little while though. Found it in the last cabinet I looked in, right towards the back." He paused, considering that saying 'last place I looked' kind of spoke for itself.

It occured to him he had no idea if he should attempt physical contact, usually on a first date you could at least count on a hug at the beginning but with Anita he had no clue if that was pushing too far. Standing a litle awkwardly, he then attempted a slight tough on her shoulder, just to indicate for her to follow him.

She smiled. "Conveniently nice of it to be there." It certainly did add something to the whole outing.

Anita wasn't sure what to expect either. Oh she'd dated before of course but it had been so very different, and the last person she'd been physical with on the Island was gone. His touch wasn't bad though. She followed wondering where exactly he had picked out.

"Yeah, I dunno, seemed a little silly, but I don't think I've ever done the whole picnic date thing before, so hopefully it'll be a nice change." He smiled a little sheepishly, leading her down the main path and then veering off into the wood. He'd scouted the day before trying to find a good spot that was unlikely to be interrupted, and he hoped she'd be pleasently surprised.

"I found a nice little spot. Nothin' much, just, y'know, kinda open, but private enough that I don't think anybody's gonna come tromping through."
