So I'm going to church tomorrow for the first time out of my own free will. I've been to church probably less than 10 times in my life. I'm not religious. I'm not curious. Not to sound like a religion-pushing Southerner, but look into the Unitarian Universalist church. I found one in Nashville, and I absolutley love it. There is no specified doctrine, text, or belief of the congregation. Instead, they focus their efforts on building a supporting community that seeks to help others and they encourage members to develop their own beliefs through exploration and reason instead of relying on a group developed faith. It's wonderful to go to a place where everyone can believe something different and everyone is okay with it.

very interesting...I hope it's a worthwhile experience for you!

I can't imagine living in the South...it's so odd to me, I don't understand the mentality.

(and by the way, they're Protestant, hehe...at least not Hindu...MAYBE Garbage Collectors. Maybe.)
