On Friday I got my long-awaited pink slip. Nicest pink slip anyone could receive, really. Got the whole "It's not you, it's the returning tenured teachers" line

i am sad for you my Claire. I know how much you love your job and your kids.

I also know (first hand!) that you are an exceptional teacher who will be making a big difference in the lives of many kids for years to come. Even though I went to elementary school back when the dinosaurs walked the earth, I still remember Mrs. Dunn, Mrs. Appel, Mrs. Brookshire and Mrs. Holmes. YOU are the teacher that all the kids will remember all their lives, and you've only just started to meet them.

It was so nice seeing you! I will try to come out there this summer.

I will also try to figure out my wii ID so I can brawl with my cuz. I just unlocked Sonic and I'm pretty excited!
