we're just curious! it's time to think!:
do you think dance is a sport?:Yes, dance is definately a sport. It is harder to do than any other sport I think, you have to have coordination, balance, and grace and while you're dancing make it look easy and smile at the audience. I come home with soars on my feet sometimes from a 6 hour day of straight classes, and I know that I've worked harder than any other sport that I've ever played. It takes hand and feet coordination together, and what other sport does.
what do you say to someone who looks at dancing as easy ((the “I could do that” attitude))? I ask them to try it, and I once showed some of my guy friends who were making smart remarks about dancing a combination for jazz and their jaws dropped. They haven't said anything since lol
what do you tell yourself to get over that “I can’t do this” hump? If I have trouble with something I usually ask my teacher to help me, or sometimes I'll stay after class when everyone was gone. She really helps me and I'm more confident, after that I just try my hardest and practice.
why do you dance?: I dance because it makes me feel like nothing else does. When I come home from a class all sweaty and tired it makes me happy because I know that I just got done with an even better class than the last. Dance is a rush, when I'm on stage I can't help but smile because it makes me so happy, and I don't get how people have to practice to smile on stage.
what is your favorite part of dance?: I love doing random combinations in class that my teachers come up with, it's challenging and I like the feeling when we get it just right
what is your least favorite part of dance?: It's not that I don't like it, but if I had to pick something that was at the bottom of my list, it would be barre work in ballet, although I love the music to it.
brag a little. what are some of the strongest points of your dancing?: I have very strong leaps. My teacher told me she could tell I was also in gymnastics because I get a lot of heighth on my leaps.
how did you start dancing?: My older sister was in dance, and my cousin is a professional dancer, it kind've runs in the family
how did you hear about im_fabulous?I was searching for dance in interests, and I liked this community the best
