+ dance studio: harrison's school of dance
+ who do you dance for: myself
+ years dancing: 8
+ subjects studied: ballet (mainly) jazz(one class a week) modern (at summer programs) hip-hop (w/ clyde evans at VAI dance intensive) tap (when i was younger)
+ are you a competitive dancer? if so, put years competing: no
+ what are some achievements earned at a studio and/or at competition ((both individual and group acheivements)): going on pointe (this year!) getting lifts (no guys at my studio, so modern/jazz lifts) working on and improving my technique this year
+ do you dance for your regular school?((college, high school, jr. high, etc.)): my school has no dance program. whatsoever.
+ if you could improve anything about yourself dance-wise, what would it be? my turn-out. i've been working on it, but my hips naturally turn in, so it's not great
+ what is your favorite brand of dance gear? ((Capezio, Bloch, Leo, etc.)) capezio. makers of my pointe shoes and most of my leotards

+ best dance advice you’ve ever been given: its not about being perfect. it's about showing the audience emotion, feeling, and the fact that you do this, because, frankly, you can't live without it

+ barre work or center work? center most of the time, but sometimes barre is better

+ what do you say to someone who looks at dancing as easy ((the “I could do that” attitude))? i tell them to try and do it. everyone i've ever done that with hasn't been able to
+ what do you tell yourself to get over that “I can’t do this” hump? yes, you can. it might take lots of work and/or practice, but you'll get it
+ why do you dance?: i love it. it's expression of self, and a release, but also controlled. its a huge part of my life
+ what is your favorite part of dance?: performing
+ what is your least favorite part of dance?: the beginning stages of learning choreography
+ brag a little. what are some of the strongest points of your dancing?: my pirouette, right assemble, and grand jete
+ how did you start dancing?: i was a five-year old girl, and wanted to be a prima ballerina, so my parents signed me up for a combined ballet/tap class
