+ dance studio: Dancer's Image at the moment, but I'm switching studio's this coming fall to this new place called Andrea Redman's Dance Academy

+ do you dance for your regular school?((college, high school, jr. high, etc.)): Yes, I'm on the Junior Varsity Dance Team
+ if you could improve anything about yourself dance-wise, what would it be? My turns in second, pirouettes, and height in my leaps
+ what is your favorite brand of dance gear? ((Capezio, Bloch, Leo, etc.)) Capezio for funk, jazz, and pedini shoes, sansha for ballet slippers, and Grishko 2007 pointe shoes

+ tap or jazz? jazz, I only took tap for one summer session and I didn't like it that much
+ barre work or center work? Barre work, it's my favorite time of each class when we do muscle building, stretching, and flexibility excersizes at the barre
+ hip-hop or modern? hip-hop, I don't think I've ever taken modern
+ the second before you perform, or the second the music stops? The second before I perform, I love the adrenaline rush I get right before the lights come on and I can hardly see the audience
+ group number or solo? either or, I like dancing in groups and seeing how each person gives to the dance, but I love watching our teachers do solos in between dances the night of recital
+ right side or left side? ((some people prefer to do things on a particular side)) I do most of my turns on my left side but my leaps on my right side, I'm working on getting them the same

+ do you think dance is a sport?: Yes, some people may think it isn't, but it's just as hard and frustrating as any sport can be
+ what do you say to someone who looks at dancing as easy ((the “I could do that” attitude))? I would just tell them to try it. When I first started dance I would watch people struggling with say a leap and I would be like I could do that if I tried, but everything in dance is so much harder than the dancer makes it look
+ what do you tell yourself to get over that “I can’t do this” hump? I just follow the advice that all my dance teachers have told me, if I push myself and practice whatever it is over and over again, I will get it in time, also, lately I've been taking private lessons that are really helpful because then the teacher has time to really help me individually
+ why do you dance?: because I love it, I don't think I can think of a better explanation
+ what is your favorite part of dance?: getting a certain step perfect after struggling with it, it's very rewarding
+ what is your least favorite part of dance?: not getting something right after doing it over and over again, it makes me want to give up but I can't
+ brag a little. what are some of the strongest points of your dancing?: My flexibility and how I feel the music when I dance
+ how did you start dancing?: My mom decided to sign me up for classes when she saw how I danced around the house mostly all the time, she saw potential in me and I love her for that
+ how did you hear about im_fabulous? I looked it up with interests under dance and it seemed like an active community, I joined it a long time ago but I wasn't as active as I am now
