we're just curious! it's time to think!:
do you think dance is a sport?: No, dance is far from a sport. It's an artform-- and that's better than a sport. EDIT: If you want to hear more on my stance of this... check the comments below.
what do you say to someone who looks at dancing as easy ((the “I could do that” attitude))? Eff off.
what do you tell yourself to get over that “I can’t do this” hump? I just tell myself I can. EDIT: That's really the only thing you can do. Even better-- don't tell yourself you can't do something. That makes it harder to achieve what you're trying to get at. Because then 'I can't do this' is implanted into your head... and it seems harder than it actually is.
why do you dance?: Because I don't think about anything when I dance-- it helps me clear my mind. EDIT: I usually have a lot of things going on... and it's really nice to be able to just clear my mind. I'm really interested in Buddhism-- and try to live my live by their ways... and dancing is pretty much my form of meditation. I can't just sit and do nothing-- but I find myself on a different level when I'm dancing. As thought I'm looking down on myself. Sort of an out of body experience.
what is your favorite part of dance?: That I don't think, I just do.
what is your least favorite part of dance?: Recitals. EDIT: I hate the performing aspect of dance. I don't dance for other people. I dance for me.
brag a little. what are some of the strongest points of your dancing?: I have a good arabesque. And my arches are really good. And my turnout is pretty good.
how did you start dancing?: My mom enrolled me when I was little. EDIT: Then I quit when I was about eight to go over to Irish Step Dancing. Then I went there until I was a high novice, and I quit to take cheerleading-- and then my freshman year I got back into ballet... then modern, then hip-hop... jazz, tap, pointe...
how did you hear about im_fabulous? Just looking through dance communities.
