BART DROPS THE DAY I QUIT THE GAME ALTOGETHER. He's been my primary for over two years. There have been epic moments of hilarity with him. He's obviously the most well-adjusted of my entire cast. Although, I'll admit it, there was a spate of months where I just was feeling miserable with him and issues and wanted to drop. But pushing through I remembered that he's easy and enjoyable to play, and it resolved itself. Really just threading with him makes me happy so. Screw whatever else. Also his relationships are still things I love jumping in and he's great with new people. Even if sometimes it feels retreading, it's a still enjoyable subject matter. He's my baby, I don't want to get rid of him and if I did have to drop...he'd probably be the one I would reapp. Because, safety blanket.

This should be clearly obvious that if anyone were to get the dropping axe, Gert is first on the list. I actually had been wanting to drop her for a few months since I got her, then Chase got in and I was all very "eeeee yay happy castmate Gert hates life less" but. She was and always will be a backburner character. She doesn't connect with a lot of people and I don't like threading with her for long periods of time except in rare cases. The comments show she's mostly a get in, get a quip and get out kind of person. The only reason I haven't is basically because I love and adore her castmates and there are times when she gets out that it clicks and I don't want to. But if six ever gets to be too much, yeah, she's gone.

I have absolutely no idea how Mytho became as played as he has been. His canon is my favorite of the canons I play, which does help with that drive. Mostly, I blame my fabulous castmates putting up with me and anyone who was patient with my heartless defenstrated wonder. Another weird thing is I'm so proud I've made him functional for the game while (hopefully!) still IC that my standards for Mytho are wonky. Just having someone laugh at what he says or saying they can hear his voice makes me more inordinately proud than the others. Despite all this he would likely be second to go because it would be easy to drop him. He has connections, and oh my god would the dropping post make me sob but if he thought he had to go back to the story, he would. No hesitation. Also I know he couldn't be sustainable if Fakir and/or Ahiru left so he's my most co-dependent character. I guess the thing is that although I love him, I also can detach from him easier than others because that's just how his character is. But he has the widest gap from "character I want to let go" and "character I am willing to let go." I love Mytho T____T

Giles is also a backburner character in that he's very intelligent and sort of the straight man so I have a harder time bouncing him off people than the others. It takes me more effort to bring him out than Impulse or Mytho, and I can like his threads but not as often do I love his threads. Nevertheless, he's not one I want to drop. I'm settled in accepting how active he can be. There are things I want to tweak still, like doing his actual job and ~plot~ ideas but for the most part I'm okay with having him research off-screen when I don't play him. This may change if things crop up but for now I am zen and the only issues I may have is that Giles really wants to go home. So obviously once Buffy left he would likely be dropped because I couldn't stand having an distraught and frustrated Watcher on my hands. But I wouldn't want to, and possibly try to help give him some purpose if that was the case.

True to personality, Azula is kicking the playing times of others to the curb to assert dominance as a primary character. Iiiii still feel awkward with her in that she's my only character who is really badtouch and I am constantly afraid I will overstep but so far I love having her. This is mostly because OMG AVATAR CAST OMG ♥ who are so supportive of me being their resident rapist. As well as Azula having people who want to talk to her despite the fact that she is a blantant sociopath. It makes me feel loved. That said, I enjoy her enough and am feeling comfortable enough that even if a giant chunk of the cast left (s-sob terrible thought) I'd want to keep her and would fight to make her playable. Aside from the ironlock of "no drop never" Impulse has, she's the one I would let go of last right now.

I just intro'd him so I really couldn't say yet, but I know from my own playing that Chiaki will never be super popular like Impulse/Mytho/Azula have been. He's very normal, a little prickly, and his voice is hmm, not as distinct? That doesn't mean I don't enjoy playing him, and I want to see him connect with others more than anything. He's too new to count on problems but I definitely wouldn't think of dropping him now and don't plan on it unless Nodame left, because she's totally the reason I apped him I'm not afraid to admit it. So far though, he may have a comfortable position around Giles' level, and that's okay.

Man this is cathartic.
