You're right, not enough people realize how tragic and horrifying this situation is. I know Clark is taking in refugees; my school isn't big enough to, but starting next week, we're raising food and money drives. There's not much we can do back here except donate, but it's incredibly sad how little the people over there are doing nothing to help those in need.

I really hope your friends are doing okay.

....we are? I haven't heard anything about us taking in refugees, but I do know that Kelly USA is sheltering some people, and that makes me happy to live in this city. ^_^ The next time i see people taking in donations (assuming their legit.) I'm going to empty my wallet for it. Everything counts!!

Well, I got an update from one of them. He said that he had gotten out of the city a few days ago, so I'm really glad that he's okay. As for the others, I'm still crossing my fingers, wishing, and praying for them.

Not "taking in refugees" like sheltering them, but refugee students.

H-E-B has a ton of donation stations, so that would be a good place to drop them off.

I'm glad one of your friends is okay, and my heart goes out to the others.

If you want to look to see who survived, check www.CNN.com

There's a section that puts down the names of the survivors (that they know of) in alphabetical order.
