Well, actually, a lot of the countries DON'T follow the separation of church and state. That's what makes governments like ours so unique. In the Middle Eastern countries, governments are aware that the majority of their population is indeed Islamic, so they interpret the Koran (however you spell it) to suit the the way they want to run the country. For example, many people thinks that Muslims have to wear turbans/sheet/layers of clothing, but in reality, there's nothing in their religion that really flat-out says that. In fact, if you ever actually go to the Middle East, you might see kids in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt in one country (for example, Israel), and then head over to some parts of Afghanistan and see people draped and covered in sheets. Each Middle Eastern government heavily relies on the Muslim religion to outline the way they want their country to be run

That is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. Banning a religion? First of all, it won't stop people from believing in it, it will merely increase hatred of Middle Easterners towards the Western world. Also, just because it doesn't follow other religions by "updating" its codes or whatnot, doesn't mean it's wrong. americans seem to think that all Middle Eastern women wearing those things to cover their faces (whatever they're called) all hate it deeply and think that their rights are violated. This is not true- even after the fall of the Taliban in Afghanistan, many women chose to wear their traditional clothing. In my grandparents' country, Uzbekistan, there has actually been an increase in teenage girls wearing stuff like that- even though the government does not require them to do so

that is just really stupid trying to ban a religion I mean people can belive as they wish and they will still workship that person or thing whether you like it or not...its called FAITH and yea if Islam didn't have its good points then why do lots of people belive it it I mean come on if your a christian and I banned Christanity what would you do o they ban chritanity so guess what I'll stop beliving in god and yea latch on to another religion...I mean come on that host is wacked and thats putting in nicely
Wow..i cant believe that banning a religion has become a big topic for our time. Comparing any religion to christianity or judaism is ludacris, and now its just because there arent the same number of people following ther islamic religion? Who cares is is its a couple thousand or a few billion! Seriously, a religion is a religion, numbers dont make one. I dont care if there are 3 people following the faith, those 3 people believe in a higher power that others dont. We have no right to take away the beliefs of those people, i dont care how few there are.
