I AM SO SORRY FOR MY VAMPIRE OBSESSION RIGHT NOW! I've been reading too much vampire stuff and watching too much of it too! LOLZ! Well hope you like it! Part 2 will be put on soon! <3
I ran up the stairs to my room. "Wait! Anna, come back!" Tyler yelled to me.
"No! Leave me alone asshole!" I yelled back.
Tyler was my boyfriend. I found out about some stuff that he had been keeping from me. Like, I don't know, he was a vampire and some guy was after him and everyone who came in contact with him. I was in danger and so was he, but he could've told me about that!
I tried to shut the door to my room but he caught it. I turned my back on him and sat on my little day bed and stared out my window at the rainy street. "Just let me explain!" Tyler said walking over to me.
"No! You don't have to explain! If you would've told me I would be okay! But keeping that from me? No! I could've done something stupid like I could've opened the door when you weren't here thinking it was you! I mean really!"
"Anna, you don't have to worry about anything. I would protect you and so would everyone that I know and trust."
"But what if you weren't there one time! One time is all it takes!"
"Anna," he came over and took my face in his hands, "I will protect you no matter what. Even if it means I'm putting myself in danger." He pressed his lips to mine. My arms relaxed and made their way up to his head. We kissed until both of us were completely relaxed. We pulled away and he looked into my eyes while I looked into his. "Do you forgive me?" he asked.
I just nodded and snuggled into his chest. After a little bit I looked up at him and asked the question I had been wondering about since I found out. "Have you ever wanted to bite me?"
He looked down at me then out the window. "Too many times to count..." He was distant and you could tell.
My life was going to be so much different now that I knew about him. Now that I knew about them...
**********
The next morning I woke up in my bed. Tyler was sleeping on the day bed with Mika, my Labrador retriever. I got up slowly and went down the stairs. I was so happy that both my parents were on business trips halfway around the world. This way Tyler and I could spend more time together. They wouldn't be back for another two months I think.
I went to my refrigerator and got out some bacon. Then went to the pantry and got the pancake mix. I was making the bacon when I felt arms go around my waist. He sighed. "Good morning," he said.
I put my hands over my head and grabbed his face. I tilted my head back and gave him a quick peck before going back to cooking. I could feel his smile. "So pancakes and bacon? Sounds good! So you want some juice or milk with it?"
"Fine with me!"
I heard the clanging of plates and glasses. There was a creak of a chair and he was done.
When I finished I gave Tyler his food then gave myself my own and sat down to eat. "Did your parents care that you spent the night?" I asked.
"Anna, I don't really have parents. That's why you've never met them," Tyler said grimly.
"Oh, right... So you live alone at that big house of yours?"
"Pretty much, yeah."
"So, about vampire stuff, are you anything like the Twilight vampires?"
He looked at me and chuckled a little. "The speed and strength? Yes. I don't have any special abilities though. Only the highest ranking vampires have them."
"Oh! So... Since, you're a vampire, have you... you know..."
"Killed people?" he finished for me.
"Is that offensive?"
"Not at all... But, yes, I have. I don't anymore because I was only a newborn then. Now, I'm a fully realized vampire. So you have nothing to worry about."
"So you can control yourself when you bite someone? So if you don't kill them then how does no one know vampires are real?"
"We can wipe their memories by drinking their blood. If we drink the right amount then the memory of us is gone forever."
"How does someone become a vampire?"
Tyler stopped and looked at me. "Why do you want to know?"
"Just... because..."
"It's a short but painful process. We don't have anything to do with magic. Like Twilight, I guess you could say, we have venom. When we bite someone it goes through them. That is only if we choose for it to. Mainly, we drink human blood to give us strength."
"What's the painful part?"
"When the venom goes through a person, you can't stop it no matter how hard you try. That person won't be able to move because if they do if feels like a fire has been lit inside them. They ache like they have the flu and they come very close to death, but just when the darkness is about to settle the burning goes away and it's almost like they're reborn. Hence why we call new vampires newborns."
"Wow... You said, 'if we choose for it to.' What does that mean?"
"We can control when and when not to release our venom. Like when I'm feeding I don't let my venom go through."
"Oh." I put my fork down and sat back in my chair. "So have you ever," I swallowed hard, "changed someone?"
"Why? Are you scared of me?" I clenched my fists under the table.
He stood up and came over to me and put his arms around me. "It's not that I'm scared of you. I'm scared of... others..."
"Like I said last night, you have nothing to be afraid of those people. Actually, you should probably be more afraid of me."
My eyes got wide and every muscle in my body tensed. His lips brushed against my neck and and down to my shoulder. A brush of fangs and then Tyler went still too. He pushed back. "Sorry..." he mumbled.
"I-It's fine..." I managed to get out.
He walked into the other room while I sat there alone in the kitchen. Why was I so afraid of him? I shouldn't be. I trusted him... But what if something were to happen and no one was there to give him... blood except me? Would he lose control? Would he accidentally inject me with venom? I shivered at the thought.
I tried to shake the thoughts out of my mind and cleaned up the kitchen table. No matter how much I tried to get the thoughts from my mind, though, they just didn't go away... Flashes of him sucking someone's blood came to me and I dropped a dish. It broke to pieces. "Shit..."
"Anna, are you okay?" Tyler asked walking into the room.
"I-I'm fine..." I said. "I just dropped a dish. It's fine..."
"I'll help you clean it up."
I bent down and started picking up the pieces. "It's fine I've- Crap! Ow!" I had cut my finger on a piece of glass.
I went still and looked at Tyler. He was looking at my finger. He walked over and bent down next to me. He took my finger and put it in his mouth. I sat there in a daze. It took him only a couple seconds before he pulled it back out of his mouth. "Sorry..." he said again. "I couldn't help myself..."
"It's fine. If... you ever need... you know... blood. You can always come to me."
"Anna, I don't want to do anything like that to you."
"No, because, I know that if something happens to us both, like if you get into a battle with another vampire, and he hurts you, you might need strength. I don't mind. I swear, Tyler."
"Anna, I couldn't do-"
I looked up at him and touched his face. "Promise me you will. I don't mind."
He hesitated a moment before answering me. "I-I guess..."
I kissed his cheek then got up. "I'll get a broom and sweep it up. Go find something for us to watch on TV."
He stood up and gave me a little smile. I went to get the broom and I swept up the broken glass. Gosh, I was such a klutz. When I finished I went into the front room where Tyler was siting on the couch. The TV was off and he was lounging.
"I thought I told you to-" he put his finger to his lips and stood up. I sat down on the couch as he walked slowly to the window. He pulled the curtains back slightly, cursed under his breath, then came back over to me.
"What? What is it?" I asked getting a little panicky.
"Go up to the closet on the second floor and lock the door. I'll knock when it's safe to come out."
"Tyler, what the hell is going on?!"
"Just do what I say!"
"Tell me what's going on then!"
"Go NOW!" he scolded. His normally soft, blue eyes were a raging, blood red.
I let out a little shriek and ran up the steps and did what he told me to do. I went into the very back corner and coward there. I heard a knock on the door and then the sound of the door being broke down. I listened as hard as I could to the conversation downstairs.
"Hm, well isn't it Tyler. How've you been lately?" the guy said.
"Fine. What do you want Ian?" Tyler said.
"What else? I want the girl. And if I have time before the high class vampires come, you."
"You never change do you Ian? The same old greedy bastard you've been your whole life."
"Such language. Anyway where's the girl?"
"She ran off. I told her to leave because I knew you were coming."
There was a pause. Then Ian said, "She's here. I can smell her blood. Oh! She's not a vampire like the last one? What a pity. I guess she won't be putting up that much of a fight."
"She may not, but I will!"
The next things I heard were crashes and low growls. "Tyler..." I whispered.
After a couple of minutes, everything had gone silent. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. There was a knock at the door. It was Tyler. "Anna, it's... safe to come...out..." he said.
I crawled over to the door and opened it. "Tyler!"
He stood there holding his arm. He had cuts in various places. He let go of his arm (it was caked in blood) and reached out to me. I had noticed something on his wrist. I had never seen it before. It looked like some kind of tattoo. I hesitantly grabbed his hand. He pulled me into him. Even though he was covered in blood I hugged him back. "Are... you okay?" he asked.
I nodded my head and squeezed him harder. "Are you?"
"Yeah... We have to... leave now..."
"Why?"
"The High Class... Vampires... will be here soon to... see what has happened."
"What about Ian?"
"He ran... off before I could finish... him."
"Oh... Is that another reason why we need to go?" Tyler nodded. "Well then let's go. MIKA!" I called as I pulled away from Tyler.
Mika came up to me and Tyler with a worried puppy look on her face. I rubbed her head and told her it would be alright. Tyler went and grabbed her leash and handed it to me. I put it on her and we started off. We had to walk because I didn't have a car and Tyler's was out of gas.
We took back allies so no one saw us. When we heard people Tyler pulled me behind a wall or dumpster. Mika was trained not to bark so we were fine with that. "I need... to rest..." Tyler said after we had been walking for almost an hour. "There's a werehouse... right down the... street."
"Okay," I said. "We can wash you up there too."
He smiled weakly at me and nodded. He was hurt... badly...
When we got to the werehouse we immediately knew it was abandoned. The windows were boarded up and we had to break down a couple boards to get in.
I searched for a bathroom to take Tyler to, to clean him up. When I found one I went back to get him. I found him leaning against a wall and panting hard. I knew what I had to do at that moment.
"Tyler, here." I found a piece of glass that was close to us on the floor and cut my arm open some so he could drink from me.
"Anna... no..."
I held my arm up to his mouth. He hesitated a moment then I heard him drinking. He wasn't biting me. It was more like licking up the blood. My blood dripped a little to the floor. I started to get light headed at one point. "Okay, Tyler. I'm getting... dizzy..." I mumbled.
He stopped and leaned back against the wall. "I'm sorry..."
"It's okay. I'll be fine. Do you feel better?"
"Yeah... A lot actually."
"Good. I found a bathroom with running water on the second floor. Let's go wash you up there, okay?"
He nodded. When I stood up I wobbled a little. Tyler caught my arm and we walked, helping each other stand, to the bathroom.
When we got there I made Tyler sit against the wall. I looked for a rag or something to clean him up with but there wasn't anything. "Here," he said throwing me his shirt.
I looked at him and he had a cut going down his arm. I gasped when I saw it. "How'd that happen?"
"It'll heal, don't worry about it."
"How'd it happen, though?" I put the shirt under the faucet in the sink.
"He just cut me."
"It looks really deep."
"I heal fast so you have nothing to worry about. I'll be absolutely fine."
"Okay." I squeezed out the shirt and started dabbing at Tyler's cuts. I waited to do the cut on his arm last. "Tell me if it hurts at all, okay?"
"I will," he said. I dabbed at it little by little. I would hear a little gasp of pain every time I changed spots. Once I got down to his wrist I knew it was bad. "Ah, okay, okay... That's enough cleaning!"
"I'm sorry. Are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah... Just leave me alone for a little bit, okay?"
"Okay..."
I walked out of the room. I had my head down and I went to the first floor again. What happened to his wrist? The thing I saw before, the tattoo, was it hurting him? Or worse, was it causing him more thirst than usual? I once again shook the thought from my mind. He wouldn't hurt me. Right?
It was starting to get dark outside. Tyler was still up in the bathroom. I was worried for him. He wasn't talking he wasn't moving. What was going on with him? I finally got the guts to go back upstairs. "T-Tyler are you okay?" I asked.
"Anna, I told you to leave me alone..."
"For a little bit! It's getting dark outside! Tyler what's-"
"Go! It's not safe for you to be around me right- Ah!" He grabbed his wrist.
"Tyler! What is that thing on you? What's happening? I need to-" He was behind me within seconds. He grabbed both my wrist and my waist and pulled me close to him. "T-Tyler..." I felt his breath on the back of my neck then a brush of his lips. "Tyler no. This isn't..."
It was the thing on his wrist. I felt the brush of his fangs and then a slight pinch. I could hear him drinking, actually drinking, this time. Was he controlling his venom? I didn't feel any burning. He must've been. I relaxed a little bit then. I felt weak in my knees and almost fell. Tyler caught me by putting his arm around my waist. He sat us on the floor and he kept drinking. "Tyler... I think... I'm getting light headed..." I mumbled.
The drinking stopped and he pulled back. He turned me around to look at me. Blood was dripping from his mouth. His eyes were blood red. I stared at him a second and then hugged him. "Anna... I'm-I'm sorry..." he mumbled. He hugged me back hard.
"I'm fine... A-Are you okay? You're wr-wrist..."
"I'm fine. I'll take you down stairs do you can rest."
He picked me up and I closed my eyes. He walked down the stairs and then lied me down on the ground. He lifted my head up, sat behind me, and lied it down on his lap. "Tyler, I love you," I whispered weakly. He had taken a lot of blood.
"I love you too, Anna. I promise I will never do that again."
"I'm fine. Don't worry about it."
I finally drifted off to sleep. Questions ran through my mind. What was that thing on his wrist? Why did he bite me with blood lust in his eyes? He's never done anything like this before. Would he do this again? And the next time, would I not be so lucky? He could accidentally release some of his venom and change me. Change me into a vampire...
