In class last week my professor mentioned "Brownie Points". This conundrum blows my mind. They don't actually consist of brownies, nor do you receive brownies once you reach an amount. The whole idea of brownie points blows my mind. Perhaps I'm putting too much thought into this and less into what the professor is actually teaching. Could someone ( Read more... )

brownie points are a good thing...usually for me it means that the prof remembers me for whatever I did in class and at the end if I'm close to a higher grade he/she will push it up...the prof recognizes you more and therefore you benefit in the long run...

"brownie points" refer back to the b.c. period. hershel brownski had created this delicious treat. before the jews were persecuted and tortured, they all indulged in "chocolate sweet bread." christ was born and all hell broke loose. all of the ingredients for thier "chocolate sweet bread" were taken away by the romans, thus they were left to just make bread. the romans, being massive assholes, called them "brownies," to mock the creator. during one instance of taking the "brownies" from a wealthy jewish family (decendants of brownski), they tried to barter the recipie for thier lives. the romans agreed and learned to make thier own "brownies." the brownskis felt rather relieved and told the romans the point of the "chocolate sweet bread" was to bring people together in peace. the romans told the brownskis that they had a different point for "brownies" and stabbed the brownskis to death in a vicious scene of slaughter. "brownie points" refer to the rememberance of the brownski family that died an injust death. in earning ( ... )
