I'm not sure why, but it reminds me of when I first met my boyfriend. I was reading on some stairs, and he comes soaring off the balancing beam and drops his cellphone on the ground. I laughed and said, "You know, that would've been a perfect landing if you HADN'T have dropped your cellphone." We started a conversation, and the conversation was mostly full of small talk. I don't even remember what it was about. All I remember is that I said something along the lines of, "And so it goes." He was utterly shocked and said, "You read Kurt Vonnegut?"
"Yes, yes I do."
"Do you have an email?"

This was somewhere around last year, in May/June. We started dating in November and we've been together since.
