While Mac had quite liked having Jake staying with her, right now she was glad he had his own room again. It was Cally's last night before heading off to basic and she wanted to make the most of it

Cally hadn't exactly dressed up, but she had prettied up just a little, just to make an occasion of it. She knocked on the door and waited, anxiously.

Mac stopped rearranging cushions and hopped over to open the door.

"Hi." She smiled at Cally and stepped back waving her in dramatically. "I hope you're hungry," she said.

"I might have accidentally skipped lunch," Cally admitted, coming in.

"I don't get how you can just accidentally skip a meal," Mac said putting an arm around Cally's back to lead her over to the food. "Good job I'm all prepared. Got to feed you well before you go, miliary food isn't exactly known for it's quality."
