Michael was just approaching her doorway on his way back to his own room when the lemming inna ball decided to make a break for it, straight out into the hall.

Mac's tendency to get absorbed in things was a bit of an issue when she let Poe loose and the door was open. It took her a minute to even realise he was gone.

"Aw, damn it," she grumbled. "Why can't you st--" She paused in the talking to her pet when she realised Micheal was standing there. "Stay put. Hi."

He was holding the ball, by this time, just to make sure there were no stair-related accidents.

"Hi. Uh... I think this is yours?"
