"You can't sleep forever. It's bad for you." Two small hands curled around the duvet Mac was hiding behind, yanking it back. "Dad told me so."
Said as if this means it has to be true.

It was only once Mac leaned up on her elbows that she really noticed a second kid all but attached to her side. "Uh, hi?"

Since she wasn't paying attention to him anymore, Miles had taken to rifling through her desk drawers instead.
