INTERESTING. I DON’T RECALL THIS DIMENSION, AND I DON’T RECALL RECALLING IT IN EITHER THE PRESENT OR FUTURE.

IT IS STRANGE THAT I CAN’T SEEM TO TRAVEL BEYOND THE GROUNDS OF THIS PLACE. HAS SOMETHING HAPPENED WITH THE HUMAN PERCEPTIONS OF REALITY? I WOULD HATE TO LEARN THAT THEY NO LONGER BELIEVE IN CATS.

Cats?

No ants, I'm afraid. And it seems that those who find themselves in this place are more or less confined here, with their consent or not.

I LIKE CATS.

"THOSE". YOU DID NOT USE THE WORD "PEOPLE". HUMANS ARE CONFINED BY WHAT THEY VIEW AS REALITY. I AM CONFINED BY REALITY.

BUT I SUPPOSE I AM ONE OF "THOSE". DOES THIS MEAN I AM IN A DIFFERENT REALITY?

I see.

Humans are the least of this place's residents, frankly; you're just as likely to find gods as you are to find demons, here. ...Confined by reality, you say? I find that a curious way of phrasing things, but to say that this is a different reality is an oddly appropriate way to look at it.

Welcome to Wonderland, for whatever that's worth. Things are being a little... difficult to manage, at the moment.

There's something terribly familiar about you. Are you sure you haven't been here before?

INTERESTING... A NEW REALITY. MAYBE THIS WOULD BE A GOOD CHANCE TO GET A LITTLE... CREATIVE.

THANK YOU FOR THE GREETING. THINGS ARE ALWAYS DIFFICULT TO MANAGE. NO WORLD IS EXEMPT FROM THAT.

I AM FAMILIAR WITH EVERYONE. OR AT LEAST THOSE LIKE ME. THERE ARE MANY DEATHS IN THE VAST EXPANSE OF THE UNIVERSE; I AM ONLY ONE OF MANY.

I have yet to find anyone who is capable of leaving the grounds.

Human perception of reality?

I'm not sure about the others, but I for one still believe in cats.

THAT IS UNFORTUNATE. HAVE THEY TRIED DYING?

MY EXISTENCE RELIES HEAVILY ON HUMANITY'S BELIEF. HOWEVER, I DON'T THINK I WAS ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO HAVE A PERSONALITY.

GOOD. I AM RELIEVED TO HEAR THAT.

I don't know. You'll have to ask them. I haven't been here that long myself.

Oh? What would happen if humanity were to stop believing?

You like cats?

I'm not entirely sure of how this works, but I think reality itself is different here in the Mansion. I haven't managed to figure out how or why, though.

Wizards use machines similar to these ones, where you come from? That's interesting. I had never seen anything like it until I arrived here.

HMMM. I AFRAID THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW THINGS I MAY NEVER FULLY UNDERSTAND. LIKE WHY HUMANS BEHAVE THE WAY THEY DO AND THE COMPLEXITIES OF WORKING A DOORKNOB.

YES. IT WAS A MACHINE CAPABLE OF THOUGHT. IT ASKED FOR A TEDDY BEAR FOR HOGSWATCH.

It asked for a... teddy bear.

That has to be the most adorable thing I've ever heard.
