financial aid question

Do you lose some financial aid if you are married (because the household income goes up on your taxes?)

Does anyone know??? I can't get a straight answer from financial aid.

Help...

long answer: you get less pell (if you got any in the first place, but i dont think you even get that for grad school?) and less of whichever loans don't charge interest while you're in school. or you may not qualify for those at all!

but it may be a lot different for grad school...

all i know is -- i got tons more financial aid when i wasn't married.

also, you could file married but separate and that may help.

but when you do that? you can't claim tuition.
LAME.
