So, DPD is pretty sweet so far. The academy hasn't officially started because they're waiting to hire about 29 more people before they start it. So right now they have us working at random districts. Myself and 5 others are at the main headquarters in the records room doing nothing. Seriously, I got to work at 7:45, sat around talking and watching

so i got a few questions. First how much ya makin? have you heard what the academy is like? how long is the academy? and next time your talking to a cop ask him what it takes to become a detroit police armorer.

oh and getting off early but still being paid is probally the best perk of a goverment job in my opinion but theyll get ya back sooner or later trust me.

It's something like $15.67 an hour or $32,608 a year. The academy is pretty much like boot camp except you get to go home. It's about six months long and I'll talk to someone about becoming an armorer.

what's an armorer?

its someone who sits in the police station making and fixing medival armor for police officers and military.

what an armorer really does is accountable for all the weapons and fixes them and hands them out to people. thats my job in the Corps right now.
