I'd say it sounds like you left the cruel misfits behind and found your place among those who would protect you. The freaks were the so called normal kids and the teacher deserved to be with them. My heart goes out to that little girl and the woman who still bears open wounds from their disgusting barbs.

Thanks. In many ways it's a sick world we live in. I'm glad my adulthood has been more positive than my childhood.

Yes, it does seem like a sick world at times.

I agree, I would NEVER want to relive my childhood and the devastation of being an outcast. I'm often an outcast now but at least it doesn't hurt so much. I finally have some self-confidence (Sometimes)

You explained this so well, it was painful to read.

I'm still an out cast as well. The difference is that I do have a few close friends, and I have things like LJ where I can at least talk to people and feel like I have some human contact.

I sometimes wonder where the kids from school ended up. I don't remember most of their names though so can't look them up on facebook or anything.

Well, the girl that pushed me down the stairs in 7th grade friended me on Facebook. I spend a lot of time laughing when I read her status updates. She's forever going on about how good she is and how Christian.

I'm glad you were able to switch to the alternative high school. I wish our district had had an option or that my parents had found a way to sent me to a different school when things were really bad.

I guess she wasn't a good christian in seventh grade. Ug. I don't think I'd want her on my facebook.

Kids and teenagers can be soooooo mean. I'm glad you found your place. It's funny where we end up sometimes. :)
