Things I learned from Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl:
- Being marooned for three days turns people flamboyantly gay .
- If you are opposed to violent crime and want to protect your girlfriend from doing risky stunts that would get her killed in real life, you are a bad person.
- The best way to make said bad person like you is to randomly attack a guard and proclaim that you are one of the people that he hates. He will admire your courage and allow you to sleep with his fiance.
- If your enemies want to become killable, it is your duty to stop them.
- People talk a lot during swordfights and never hit each other. In fact, the best way to strike up a conversation is to pull out your rapier and start swinging.
- If you are a villain in an Elliot/Rossio script, never accept a deal from the good guys. You will be setting yourself up for an ironic twist ending. [See also: Aladdin]
- Racism did not exist in 18th century England. People were too busy hating pirates, who are the best and most misunderstood people in the world.
- Gore Verbinski is sexually attracted to camera filters. [See also: everything he's ever done]
