Friending for fanfic can make sense, though - that way it appears on your flist and you don't have to go searching for it or worry that you've missed it :) I've friended people for fic if they don't always post to comms I'm on, or write different pairings that don't always fit on communities.

Hhmm, yes, you're right, that does make sense.

I'm not opposed to people friending me for my fanfiction - it's lovely. I just like some kind of introduction. If for no other reason than it shows me that they've actually taken a second to read a paragraph and get to know me. Does that make sense?
