Put in a massive online order to the Parrot Rescue Center, this morning. Feeling impoverished, but happy with my purchases. I buy my bird toys and accessories every few months, so it's always a kick to the belly, but it's worth it - the PRC homes and rehabilitates cockatoos and such

As far as breeders wing clipping, I eventually decided that I wasn't willing to bring home clipped parrots anymore -- which is a challenge to actually find. I had to fly half way across Canada (oddly enough, to the area I live in now, go figure) three years ago to find someone who would sell me an unclipped baby scarlet macaw. Still the best decision I ever made though.

She's not quite as fluorescent as she seems, but she's certainly as colourful. It's astonishing!
How's life with a lory? Very...liquid? I've never paid them much mind, but I've met a few duskies in recent months and have been overwhelmed by their character.
Yes, I imagine trying to find an unclipped scarlet macaw baby would have been a herculean task. Especially with their reputation - though I think that's largely undeserved. All I know is that Shroedinger is exceptionally beautiful, and I want to steal him for snuggles. :)
You're so lucky you have so many birds available to you! Although, it's a mixed blessing, I suppose, because easily available birds means easily discarded birds. :( But in Australia it can be darn impossible, for genuine, caring owners, to find certain species without having to sell their organs for funding.
