I remember Spider House Cafe had a really delicious chai milkshake, but that was 10 years ago and I don't see it on their menu anymore. :( I have no idea if it has wifi and I can't remember any other cafes, unfortunately.
David doesn't drink coffee. He does drink tea--and he wants somewhere he can work for a bit. Is one of these better for that in particular? (And thank you!)
I honestly have no idea who serves tea. Oh dear. Epoch is pretty good for staying a bit, though it can be filled with hippies/hipsters. I'm very fond of Genuine Joes for being pretty quiet and calm. Mozarts is a pretty good bet as well.
La Tazza Fresca is my go-to place. It's quiet and uncrowded, offers free wifi with lots of power outlets, and a menu of ~10 teas. About 1 mile north of UT campus. It's also on the main bus route.
This is great. He can't work in the office tomorrow and doesn't want to be stuck in his hotel room all day. It wasn't affordable to change his ticket and come home.

I especially love Epoch. Their cold brew iced coffee was so strong it gave me the shakes.
