i had forgotten how good it felt
to have the wind blow across my face
the clouds had collected above me
there they resided, forevermore.
and i told you of all my worries
i cried on your shoulder and you listened
and there were stars hanging outside my window
when i awoke and i held one in my hand
the light astounded every ray of color
within the proximity of my vision.
then i stuck my hand into the night,
and smeared the darkness across my face
and disappeared for a while.
until daylight krept up on me
but on this solitary patch of sky
the clouds wont dare take up space
& i'm too busy noticing the blue breeze
to realize the death and destruction
the lies and the malice
of every other patch of infected sky.
there's a quarter in my pocket
and i'll live on it forevermore.
i dont need much, i whisper to you...
as long as i'm living on this patch of sky.
full of stars in constellations
they trace the corners of my imagination
i'm content here to feel the wind
it's clear and beautiful,
and it reminds me of you.
its amazing how many poems i can write about you. elements of you greet me everyday, but i've never met you, but i do believe you exist<3
