thank you! it was okay, but i think i put too much emphasis on wanting to feel special on my birthday and it never happens. i think i need to stop expecting it to be good. or great. or wonderful.

i think maybe i'm just sad that the people i have felt the closest to did absolutely nothing for me. not even a small happy birthday in an e-mail. or a note. or a phone call.
