The Stolen Earth: Um... Mommy?
Yes, it can't possibly be what it looks like (repeat ad infinitum), and true, I love heart-attack inducing cliffhangers as much as any die-hard TV fan. But THIS HORROR:
CANNOT BE UNSEEN. *weeps and is traumatized*
Forgetting that bit for the moment though, the rest of the episode was a veritable OVERDOSE of glee...
THE DOCTOR'S SECRET ARMY!!! (Harriet Jones was a really great surprise--the end of Xmas Invasion always bothered me.)
"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!!" is my new favorite thing of all time. "BAI!" is a close second. David speaking Judoon, third.
I continue to love how Donna just gets the Doctor. She really has been a proper mate all season. Sarah Jane is still awesome. Martha will always be the companion closest to my heart, and Jack the one I wish the Doctor constantly wanted to have sex with. Rose was every bit the Old School Rose I remember, much moreso than last week, and while I don't love her as much as the Doctor does, his feelings for her--specifically his pre-extermination, full-pelt run toward her--break my damn heart.
Sad that Gwen and Luke don't actually get to meet the Doctor face-to-face (not to mention poor Maria and Clyde reduced to Passing Reference Land), but eh.
Epic "TO BE CONTINUED" is epic. *waiting behind sofa, whimpering uncontrollably*
