That was just not nice. I couldn't see anyone doing that to you! I'm sorry sweetie! One thing I'm learning is if you have to chose between your best friend and a date I would chose my best friend. lol. Men are just confuzzling! Or, just go out in a group. Friends are able to see the other person in a way we can't. They see the real person, we are just bedazzled by them and just fall in. LOL... yeah well yeah that's me. I get attached to people way too easy and give my heart just as easily. Oh wait I should be admitting that! LOL... ok well I'm glad you and Sheila and Martin had a great time!
TTYL! Btw call me! Update! LOL I don't know what to do with Jason. I'm confuzzled.
I've actually been in similar positions before, sad to say.
It's not so much that I just chose between my best friend and her...Sheila has a habit of being a little too possesive and needy, which is fine because I suffer from the same malady, and we seem to cancel each other out half the time. I put my foot down with her this time (and that was going to happen eventually), but this turned out to be a wrong time to do that.
On a personal level - HUGE HUGS coming your way. You sound so much like me it's SCARY!!!!
Regarding movies - Didn't Pan's Labrynth kick ass???? I wouldn't see it on a full stomach again because I just about tossed my cookies a few times, but I can't wait to see it again!! I have since seen it hailed as a "horrific masterpiece", and I think that fits. :) I was actually going to review it some time this week, along with Idiocracy.
Pan's Labyrinth did indeed kick my ass so hard, I couldn't sit down for a couple of hours afterward...horrific masterpiece does fit, but I'd like to call it something of which we do not have enough of: and adult fable.
Really looking forward to Idiocracy...Mike Judge is so underrated, even after Office Space.
And I'll be expecting those hugs! Will you be sending them digitally or through the mail?
Unsolicited advice, I know, but...seweccentricJanuary 31 2007, 20:05:47 UTC
That was pretty uncool.
And there's nothing wrong with caring "too much", but you don't have to care too soon. I mean, can you really care about someone you don't respect? And can you respect someone who's disrepecting you?
If you let yourself get sucked into the euphoric high of a new person, you'll only make irrational (usually bad) decisions. You can follow your heart, but only after your head says "okay".
Yeah, emotions can be sticky, but the good times make up for at least three bad times. I don't think I could be a robot moreover for their lack of the ability to orgasm.
Eh, no blood this time, but the Sandman smacked Elijah Burke square in the fivehead with his singapore cane right before Sabu put him through a table with a steel chair!
wow. you already gave me a teaser, but knowing the whole story is a different thing. i'll have to work on that balance thing, too. part of my loss of balance often comes from not having plans or definite life-goals in place. the drone of every day tasks pushes me away from anything that feels overwhelming, and i can sometimes get totally wrapped up in another person. person intoxication can be deadly!
I am often distracted by...well, distractions. Myspace, LJ, video games, whatever's on TV, some post-midnight outlandish activity in the heart of Houston, cuddling with cute girls all night and then getting fucked over by them...all these things and more distract me from being productive with my writing, my health, and my overall progression in life! Hence, the need for balance.
And you're right...having the definite life-goal of becoming a teacher has done wonders for my focus.
