Happy Halloween, y'all.

The first thing Jim noticed about Leonard McCoy was that he smelled amazing.

No, he wasn’t kidding. Having been around for a few centuries, he’d kind of gotten used to the way people smelled. So he had no clue why he was reacting to this man’s scent like a newly-turned vampire instead of the older one he was.

Fortunately for him, they were in public and there were strict rules governing vampires, had been ever since they had revealed their existence about a hundred years back, and the number of potential witnesses kept him in check. If not, he might have fed on the man against his will, and that was a pretty big rule to break.

As it was, Jim was just about ready to seriously consider trying to kill himself when he found out he was the man’s roommate. It might well have been easier than trying to resist that scent.

Jim lasted three days before the newly-christened Bones found out he was a vampire. It had been late at night, and Bones had walked in from a study session at the Academy’s library. Jim woke up when the door shut, having always been a light sleeper when he slept at all, and before his brain could catch up with the rest of him he’d had Bones pinned to a wall, mouth at the man’s throat.

Bones looked slightly perplexed at his strange behavior. “Jim, what the fuck?!”

Jim let out a soft moan, entranced by the scent that was stronger now that he was so close to the man. “You smell so good,” he breathed, ghosting his lips over the pulse in front of him in an open-mouthed kiss.

Suddenly he found his face framed by two large hands that pulled him up to look him in the eye. Jim knew that Bones was cataloging the changes, seeing his dilated pupils and hearing his harsh breathing, but those could be played off as human arousal should he wish to continue hiding what he truly was from his roommate. He soon saw, though, that Bones had noticed the one detail that he couldn’t play off.

It really sucked sometimes, having no control over when his fangs came out.

Miraculously, Bones didn’t seem too upset when he saw them, unlike the few people in his life he had told. Instead he looked more amused than anything else as he shoved Jim onto his bed and walked over to the window, opening it and clearing the room of some of that overpowering scent. “I promise you, Jim, my blood doesn’t taste anywhere near as good as you want to believe,” he muttered before grabbing some books. “When I come back we’re going to talk, all right? Just calm down a bit first.”

As the door shut behind Bones Jim moaned. Feeding for vampires was a highly erotic act, but he was still shocked to find himself hard at just the scent of the man’s blood. That had never happened before; it had always taken the actual act of biting into someone’s neck to set him off.

Letting a hand slip into his uniform pants, Jim quickly also learned that the memory of the scent was more powerful than any fantasy he’d let take over his mind before, bringing him to orgasm quicker than anything other than a real person ever had.

As he came down while waiting for Bones to return, he wondered just how he was going to last out the year as the man’s roommate.

~*~

Actually, once Bones knew he was a vampire it was surprisingly easy to be around him, and soon Jim was happy to say that Bones was just about the best friend he’d ever had. Of course, they had their moments when Jim decided he really wanted to bend the rules, but Bones always managed to shove him off and talk him down when that happened, leaving him with a unit of blood stolen from the hospital in the place of what Jim really wanted.

It was an easy friendship, and Jim was truly glad that these days vampires could be open about what they were. Soon enough all of Starfleet knew, and he wouldn’t have to worry about being parted from his friend until the man inevitably died. That was a sobering thought; Bones would be one of the few people Jim would honestly miss. However, it didn’t stop him from enjoying the time they had together.

One day about six months into their time together as roommates was different from all the other days in that it was Bones’ birthday. In keeping with human tradition despite his known status as “vampire,” Jim had gotten him a present, a real paper copy of a medical text he’d known the doctor had been trying to get his hands on.

All of that friendship and good feeling, though, was thrown out the window when Bones got a paper cut from the wrapping paper of his present. Sure, it only involved a little blood, but when his blood smelled that good it didn’t take much. Jim was there in an instant, reaching for Bones’ hand, when he noticed a rather important detail that stood out in his otherwise-hazy mind.

There was no cut. There was blood, but the cut was gone.

Wondering how on earth that could’ve possibly happened, Jim looked up at Bones questioningly. “How...?” he started, not sure how to phrase his question.

Bones sighed. “You remember the Eugenics War? I’m sure you were around for it.”

“Yeah,” Jim frowns. “What about it? That wasn’t a pleasant time, but what in it are you referring to?”

“Do you remember the Reaper myth?”

“Who didn’t? Everyone was looking for Reaper; he was supposed to be perfect and everyone wanted to get their hands on that genetic sequencing.”

“Well, let me put it this way,” Bones said. “If they’d found Reaper we would never have met.”

Jim was confused. “What, are you his descendant or something?”

“No, I am him,” Bones admitted.

The first word out of Jim’s mouth was, “Bullshit.”

“You think I’d lie about something like that?” Bones asked. “What would I gain from it, apart from being dragged in for testing? If I didn’t think I could trust you I wouldn’t even be telling you; I’d have made up some shitty excuse for my lack of cut.”

“No, that’s not what I meant,” Jim defended. “I mean, we could have been having hot immortal sex for six months now and you’ve been holding out on me?! That’s total bullshit!”

“Jim,” Bones sighed, “is that really the only thing you’re thinking of right now?”

“Well, no,” Jim admitted. “I’m honestly not sure what to think, even though I believe you. I know we’ll have to talk more about it later, but right now I haven’t fed in two weeks and you’re here and you’re immortal and you still smell just as amazing as you did the first time we met and I--”

Jim was shocked when Bones cut him off with a brief kiss. “Well, how would you like to feed on something other than a bag of blood stolen from the Academy hospital?” the doctor asked, tilting his head to one side.

Jim moaned unabashedly. “You mean...?”

“Would I be offering if I didn’t mean it?” Bones demanded.

Jim didn’t need any more encouragement than that, and in an instant he had shoved Bones onto his bed, quickly crawling on top of him and pressing an open-mouthed sucking kiss to the pulse throbbing in that neck to prepare him as much as he could for the sensations he’d get from the actual feeding.

Jim was impatient, though, since it really had been a long time since he’d last fed, and so he quickly bit down, moaning at the taste of the blood he was getting at long last. He’d been dreaming of this for months, and it was more amazing than he’d possibly thought it could be. He was hard already, and about two seconds from shamelessly rutting against Bones’ thigh, but surely he had some self-control left?

No, he didn’t, and he thrust twice before coming in his pants with a scream muffled by the flesh he still had his teeth sunk into, Bones’ instant healing abilities necessitating more of a constant biting action. Pulling away so he could catch his breath and so the brunet could heal, he noticed that while Bones hadn’t climaxed he had been very much turned on. “You liked that,” he smirked.

“So?” Bones demanded.

“Well, it’s kind of hit-and-miss to find someone who isn’t a vampire that likes it,” Jim explained. “I’m seriously thinking this was meant to be or something here; I mean, we meet, you smell amazing, you taste even more amazing, and you like being fed on? How likely is that? And don’t even get me started on how you’re immortal too.”

“How about you shut up and kiss me instead?” Bones suggested, Southern drawl enticingly thickened by his arousal. Jim complied, ghosting his hands down the brunet’s sides to the waist of his pants and quickly freeing his erection. Bones moaned as he kissed along his stomach with the barest hint of teeth, but even in his mindset that was rapidly turning once more to aroused he realized that the sensation that was arousing elsewhere might not actually be welcomed on Bones’ cock. With that in mind, he returned to the doctor’s neck, scraping his teeth along it gently before sucking on the nearby collarbone as his hands found both of their cocks.

“Jim!” Bones gasped, head thrown back in pleasure.

“What?” Jim asked. “What do you want?”

The other immortal moaned before breathing, “Fuck me.”

Jim groaned, quickly stripping them both before automatically reaching into his bedside table to grab the lube that was there and slicking his fingers. Pressing one finger against Bones’ hole, he quickly slipped it inside and watched as the brunet writhed, pressing back against him and clenching and relaxing as Jim moved his finger around inside him.

“More, Jim!” he demanded, bucking his hips as Jim added a second finger and scissored them. “I need your cock inside me now!”

Never one to disobey orders that made perfect sense to him, Jim quickly thrust into Bones, smirking as the brunet howled in pleasure before beginning to move. Soon they were both moaning loudly as they writhed against each other, driving each other closer to the edge. They both needed something more, though, and Jim knew exactly what it was.

With a final groan Jim bit into Bones’ neck once more, allowing them both to come at the same time. “Ridiculously hot immortal sex partners for life?” he asked between panting breaths as they both came down.

“Why the hell not?” Bones replied, sarcastic even in post-orgasmic haze. “It’s not like I have anything or anyone better to do.”

Jim smirked. He was definitely going to be making sure it stayed that way.
