Guh, that situation with Dean sounds frustrating. There are few things I find more emotionally draining than getting into conflicts with people you work with. Hope he gets his head out of his butt and stops bugging you soon.
Hey, remember that time we worked the sweathshop booth in the Tunnel of Oppression? Remember that one station where you had to get blindfolded to imagine what it was like to be blind and wear big foamy gloves and try and type on a keyboard to imagine having really bad arthritis? I'm using that in a lesson plan with my students next week. I'm NOT going to tell them the story about how you and I got stuck next to the sexual assault booth and were forced to watch the rape scene from The Accused in a loop over and over again, but I'll be thinking of you and that day and either smiling inwardly or shuddering inwardly. Or maybe both.
Dude, Dean really is a pain in the ass. Seriously. I hope you can find something else within the near future. And I definitely know what you mean about living right by LSU when you're not a student. That's where Rob and I lived until we moved. About the only advantage is that it's cheap. Well, and it's fairly close to downtown, but so are you, so no real advantage there. I hope it works out for y'all. How big is the apt you're moving into? Our cheap ass 2 bedroom there seems HUGE compared to our current overpriced one ROOM (no real bedroom) apartment here.
Ah well, can't have everything at once, and we ARE living on one income after all. Take care. 8 )
