Mark paced around the loft. He'd invited Reno back, but couldn't imagine why he'd actually take up the offer. Mark had acted like a total spaz during their last interaction - when they'd kissed. He had no idea of what had made him freak out. He liked Reno. He was just... terrified of it.

Reno stepped up the dark, rusted stairs to Mark's loft, stopping at the door as he reached the top. He was a bit concerned that maybe he'd scared Mark a bit by kissing him the last time they saw each other, but he took it as a good sign that Mark had invited him over again. He raised his hand and knocked on the door, waiting.

Mark jumped slightly, startled, and took a deep breath. He knew he was being ridiculous and overly anxious, and tried to force himself to relax. He walked over to the door and opened it, smiling. "Hey."

Reno smiled back brightly, taking the gesture as an invitation inside. He stepped past the threshhold and looked around the loft. "M'glad you actually wanted to see me again, you know, I thought I might've startled you off or something," he said, laughing a little as he turnd his eyes to Mark.

Mark blushed slightly, looking away. "You didn't. I just... I think too much. Don't worry about it, alright?" He glanced around. "So what do you want to do? We could have some tea, or watch some illegally downloaded movies on my computer, or something." Mark thought about how much he loved downloading things illegally, and grinned to himself.

Reno laughed again, walking over to the couch and sitting down. He motioned for Mark to come sit next to him. "How about we just sit and talk?" he replied, the corners of his lips turning upwards in a little smirk. "If that's alright with you."

"I can do that," Mark replied, sitting next to Reno on the couch. "I promise I won't run off this time."

Reno slipped an arm around Mark's shoulders as he sat down. "You sure I'm not going to have to sit on you or anything to keep you here?" Reno teased.

Mark leaned into Reno. "Your implication in that statement is that if you sat on me, I wouldn't be able to get you off. I'm not sure how I feel about that."

"You wouldn't be able to," Reno said confidently. "We can test the theory if you like, though."

Mark glanced at Reno and raised an eyebrow. "I think it's a little soon for that. You just got here, after all." Mark tried his hardest not to think about what it would be like if Reno had him pinned down, helpless...

"It's a bit too soon to sit on you? I see," Reno replied, chuckling. He looked at Mark. "How do you figure it's too soon for that?" He lifted the hand that rested on Mark's shoulder and ran it through the other man's short hair.

Mark resisted the urge to purr - he wasn't a cat, or completely ridiculous. He couldn't remember the last time someone had run their fingers through his hair, or the last time he'd been so close to someone, physically. 'God, why am I so pathetic?' he thought. Realizing that Reno would become concerned if he didn't say anything, Mark blurted, "You're probably tired from the trip here. I'd have an unfair advantage."

Reno leaned a little closer. "I'm not tired," Reno said simply, a slight grin on his features. He shifted a little, stood, then sat back down. Only this time he was in Mark's lap, straddling his legs. "Do I seem tired?"

Mark looked at him and whispered, "Not so much," before grabbing his shoulders and kissing him.

Reno was a pleasantly surprised by Mark's actions and circled his arms around the other man's neck. He closed his eyes and kissed him back insistently, drawing him closer.

Mark moaned softly, and then shifted them so that they were lying down on the couch, never breaking the kiss. He moved his hands up, under Reno's shirt, pulling the other man closer to him.

Reno shifted over Mark until he was comfortably resting against him, then deepened the kiss significantly, his tongue slipping past Mark's lips. He ran his hands through Mark's short hair again, holding the back of his head to pull him in.

Mark felt content just laying on the couch, making out. He idly wondered if Reno would want to take things further. He contemplated just reaching down and unbuttoning Reno's pants, but he didn't want to be too forward.

Reno kissed him a bit longer, then pulled back slightly, looking at Mark and catching his breath. "That was a nice surprise," he said, smirking as he leaned his head down, placing kisses on Mark's neck.

Mark grinned. "You know me, I'm... full of surprises." He inwardly groaned at himself for saying something so cliched. "So. Um. That was-- that was really great. I just need to know something. Basically, this same thing happened the other day with Ginny, and now she's with some other guy. Is that what's going to happen here? I just... I want to know."

Reno lifted his head and looked at Mark curiously. "No. I'm not with anyone, and I'm not gonna walk off on you," he offered a smile. "Light and Ginny have had a thing for a while. But Ginny does play around. I meant to talk to Light about that whole thing, actually. He was a bit harsh to you, but he's been a bit grumpy. Don't take it personally or anything." He leaned his head down again, tilting Mark's chin to expose more skin. He left a small mark on Mark's neck with his teeth, then kissed it gently.

Mark stroked Reno's back, spending extra time playing with his hair. "Oh, I don't care about Light. He can tell me that I'm a mean person, or whatever, but that doesn't mean I believe him. But yeah... this? Is good. This should happen often. Me and you, I mean."

Reno grinned. "Sure, definitely," he replied, kissing Mark again, briefly but sweetly. "Just don't, you know, think he's a bad person or anything. He's really not. Light's one of my best friends. He's just protective of Ginny," he said.

Mark rolled his eyes. "Right now, Light is the least of my concerns."

"Just making sure," he said, laughing. "What about Ginny?" he played with the fabric of Mark's shirt idly, watching him.

Mark shrugged. "If she's your friend, I guess I'll tolerate her. I mean, I guess I'll have to, right?"

Reno furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "She's like a little sister. Well, okay, not a sister, that's weird. But you get the idea. I know she didn't try to hurt you on purpose. And I'm sure she's upset about it," he said, framing Mark's face in his hands and kissing him again, this time a bit longer before pulling back.

Mark smiled and returned the kiss. "What I meant was that... ifyou'remyboyfriendIneedtoatleastpretendtolikeyourfriends."

Reno raised an eyebrow and blinked, staring at Mark. After a moment, he broke out into laughter. "You don't have to pretend to like them if you don't. But I'm telling you, they're not bad at all," he said, smiling brightly.

"Well, maybe we could go out with them sometime. I've never even met Light. And you should really meet my friends - they're completely ridiculous. Actually, I'm surprised none of them have walked in on us," replied Mark.

"I'll find something for us to all do," he said, running his hands through Mark's hair. It felt soft. He liked touching it. "I dropped Angel a hello online, but that's about as much as I've been able to talk to any of your friends. They seem like fun though. From what I saw in RENT, I mean."

Mark's eyes suddenly lit up. "You should definitely talk to Angel. He-- she-- Angel's awesome. Angel was actually the one who told me to stop being a spaz and invite you over today. And there's Joanne, who's also on Brawl, so you can say hi to her there. And then there's Collins and Roger and--" He paused, shaking the thoughts of Roger from his head. "I'll set something up. It'll be great."

Reno's lips curled upwards. "I'll have to thank Angel then," he replied. "And that sounds great. Let's do it. Tell me when you get something arranged." He leaned down, placing his lips against Mark's again.

Mark kissed him back and unconsciously let out a yawn. "'K."
