oh dear, about the mouse if you really wanted to you can take it to a vet. A lot of people do that, strange as it sounds.

When one of my mice was sick a few years ago, I called a vet to ask how much a visit for a mouse would be and it was going to be insanely expensive, like hundreds or so dollars, for a $2 mouse! I feel so bad for it. :(
