So my mom and I went downtown yesterday, and we drive by a bus stop that has an advertisement of a girl with a shirt that says "Stop and Think"

H&M is selling shirts where 25% of the profit goes to HIV/AIDS "prevention projects"
ON the web site it says "SHOPPING HAS NEVER BEEN MORE IMPORTANT!"

seriously? shopping doesn't do shit, besides make you feel ( Read more... )

I would say thirft stores.GOOD thirft stores that donate their money to some place decent.
or places like "just clothes" (google them)
its clothing made by a co-op meaning the workers make the decisions, not a boss or CEO.
for example American apparel has decent wages but the workers don't make the decisions, this asshole ceo does.

HERE HERE! thats the same as the gap and their stupid red campaign thing sponsored by bono...but id also like to point out that target is just a nicer looking walmart and it sucks that ppl will gladly welcome target into their community but theyll do anything to keep walmart out when its the same thing!
