Made some awesome friends
Told my teacher he couldnt teach
Bought an SLR
Got my braces off
Started blogging regularly
Only went to 9 gigs - FML.
Stroked an alpaca
Fed a pig

Yes, I do believe you ought to regard that as a year that went well. A real "crap" year can be hell. You wouldn't have even recalled all the positive events if the year had really been bad.

Also, while you might be "going for this theme", your screen name and list of events gives the impression that you lack some confidence. Kind of a continued theme in the pictures on your blog.

If "Only went to 9 gigs" and telling off your teacher are your only problems, you'll be okay.

Otherwise, if you are actually depressed than I seriously recommend you have a Coca-Cola. It really is a cure-all.
