Hey. Back in computer Apps 2. I haven't checked since yesterday, so I don't know if my internet is working or not. I will be at ACC at 5:30 today, and all my forms that I had are signed. We started The Great Gatsby in English today and watched a movie on Fitzgerald. Aside from making a 65 on the movie quiz (it was all about names), it was pretty interesting. Fitzgerald embodies the search for manhood gone awry that was described in Wild at Heart. Did you ever learn about him? His dad was a failure in the business world and so he vowed to not be like him in that (running from father). He was driven and commited to becomeing successful- to capture the golden girl as he called it- the southern belle; the beauty. He became an alcoholic and died at age 44 from a heart attack. His materialistic wife died in a sanitarium fire (she went crazy too). They spent their lives living it up in the roaring twenties- he described it as a prolonged orgy. And I realized that I could tie it all in to this concept of twisted manhood and the ( ... )
