It has been SO VERY LONG since I made an LJ comment, but Livejournal specifically sent me an email that you had posted something, which made me terribly nostalgic for Livejournal SO HERE I AM.

Just to say that we are having breakfast for dinner, and I wish you were here, and wow, do I ever remember the ballet-interpretive-dance-during-a-sermon thing. I mean...in my sheltered upbringing at my church anyone who raised their hands while singing a hymn was considered a bit wild, so that was certainly Something. XD

Anyway, I will leave you more topic prompts, and I would love to get some too:

I miss the days of LJ so much, honestly. There's a lot that I like about Tumblr's style (ease of sharing content and staying active through reblogs...), but for actually forging connections with people and keeping up with friends it doesn't compare to LJ at all.

LOL, that service was something, wasn't it? XD Honestly, aside from (totally unrelated to the service itself) incidents like needing to step out to take care of something, I think that's the only time I've ever actually walked out of a church service. I mean, at least we've never forgotten it, so there's that?

Ack, you poor deprived-of-breakfast-foods thing!!! If you ever come visit, the meal *will* be Breakfast For Dinner. Or Lunch. Or Breakfast. Or maybe all three

Ooooh, that is SO COOL that you actually saw sea turtle footprints! They're one of my absolute favorite critters (which I say in the full and unrepentant knowledge that I have... A Lot of favorites, lol). Shame you weren't able to get a photo, but at least you did see the tracks and figured out what they were, even if it took a while!

Heh, yeah, I do suspect that that was not the best introduction to liturgical dance I could've had and I'm sure it can be incorporated in much better ways. I was kind of intrigued by the concept, but the church was a bit... odd... anyway, but the weirdly uncomfortable dance stuff was kinda the final straw at that point.
