Glad you finally made it safely. I would have panicked the whole way.

While you're in TX make sure to go to at least one Half Price Books. You should be able to find an inexpensive book on Temari (at least all the ones around here have some) and maybe some on weaving and/or blackwork.

Have fun.

I was *so* happy that we had...well, not perfect weather, but at least not horrid snow-ice weather. It rained on the way down to see Mom, we were getting snow on the way back, but the roads weren't horrible.

Sorry your trip was SO VERY stressful, and hope you get your downtime to recoup! ^_^

and yah, Merry [late] Christmas!

We always seem to remember the really, really good times and the really horrible ones. The really good memory will come with your survival and the really, really bad with the torturous drive. So glad you are safe. I bet your mom was really worried as well but didn't want to make it worse for you. Moms are like that sometimes. I personally think we should move the Christmas holiday to May or June. Much more agreeable weather, well come to think about it we had the worse storm ever in Southern Illinois in May, maybe June would be better.
