I don't mind the friending at all. I'm glad you did.
I will definitely try to schedule a trip up North. We all have passports and it would also give us a chance to experience kinder eggs legally.
I get being driven out or not wanting to play. I could drag up the details about my "retirement" but I'm not sure it's helpful at this point - spilled milk. Without a doubt there are some people out there that like to spread their misery. Also people tend to be 10 foot tall, invisible and bulletproof in email. I've decided to put the miserable people aside and logged off of the Kingdom lists (virtual SCA peeps tends to be a lot different crew than those that *do* the hobby in person).
Find good people, hang out with them, have a beer, make stuff, have a beer, smile, laugh, have a beer and if all else fails have a beer and take a nap. :)
Hi all... to be honest what would limit my participation would be my son's band schedule which runs all year. He is in marching band, jazz band and an adult jazz / swing band. Notice a theme here?! He is a Junior in HS this year (11th grade for my friends from the Great White North) so only one more year and change and my weekend schedule will open up.
