In the UK there is a big debate about id cards to make things easier for the police - I am dead against it because I will never be checked, the lady on the bus wearing a veil or the guy with the beard will be. It sucks so badly.

Nazism was unique in its scale, but not in its emotions and they are coming up all too clearly now.

(And in Japan people of Korean ancestry born in Japan are unable to get citizenship, have to carry foreigner cards even when they have only ever known Japan, one reason I think I want to leave).

I so know what you mean,this whole thing has gotten out of hand,and its very frightening to see how we are making steps to being like Nazi Germany,it always starts small,but then more rights are taken away,and i think its awful to see this,i have a friend who is part Arab and part French hes gay,but because he is part Arab i have seen people treat him like hes going to blow something up,when all he wants to do is dress in drag and wear more make up then me. it just makes me sick to see how everything is going, and even smart people think this is a great idea, my own boyfriend likes the idea, but we differ in are opinions, hes a republican i am a democrat, i think taking away are individual freedoms are bad, no matter what a certain group has done,yes it was badl,but not every Arab wants to blow stuff up, and i wish people would look at people one on one instead of saying they are all bad, every race has done bad things in history at one point or another, and we can not judge that whole race by the acts of some, its not fair and it is
