Since it's finally raining outside, I am taking the opportunity to dissect the wee song (is it a poem?) about raining.

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring 
Which old man is this? Is it God? If it is God, should he be sleeping? Aren't there more important things he should be doing? 
He went to bed, and bumped his head 
How did he bump

definitely. although I'm not sure how you jumped from the old man being God to the old man having sex.

How else does one bump their head after they've gone to bed?

maybe he was taken hostage. or maybe he was bumped by his wife, who thought he was cheating on her so whacked him over the head.

neither of these explainations are any more probably in the God context, though.
