I don't know if there is anyone around anymore who will read this but I need to let this out. My Dad has been gone 8 years. He wasn't the greatest Dad. He had a lot of faults but I know he loved me. Thanks for sharing this story. Last night I had dinner with my son. I lost my Dad (who was a really wonderful Dad) 9 years ago, 5 years ago my son lost his Dad to suicide. They also went to the movies regularly and that is also his fond memory.

I like to think that my Dad and my ex-husband are looking out for me. I bet your Dad is too...

Thank you for reading my post and replying. I am sorry for both of your loses. I believe that the people we love don't really leave us. I like the idea that they are keeping an eye out for us.

I don't have any words. I'm sorry you're in this group. my dad also loved Stephen King and I read the books often. it's a comfort to know these books were in his hands too. <3
