[He's been contemplating something since shortly after his arrival, and it's been bugging him. The majority opinion of this in Luceti doesn't particularly matter to him, but you can just say he's curious about how it holds up for the people here. And by that, he's thinking about family values. It's important to a Rogue and he could assume that ( Read more... )

You expect individuals here to understand the real meaning of anything?

There's bound to be a number of them who understand the concept.

Anything. I wonder. Would they kill them, if it were in their family's best interest?

I'm not sure. That seems like it'd be awfully difficult to answer. Would you?

[As the sun slipped through the horizon, Noel realized that she'd been out later than she probably should have been. These days, she's not usually out by the time it gets dark.

So, uh. She'll be making a beeline back to her home. It probably shouldn't take longer than twenty or so minutes... sob

Though... she can't help but feel like something's off. She won't put much thought into it at first--it could just be her getting paranoid by how dark it is, or even her head playing tricks on her.]

[He doesn't recognize Noel, mostly because their conversation was merely over the journals instead of in person. This leads him to actually attempting his rude attempt of training his precision. Of course, it's up to her to actually notice the weapon that's going to be flying from the darkness and move around her.

It'd be a shame if she got hit by it, though. Remington never did like making pincushions out of ladies he doesn't know well. Unless they have something he wants, of course.]

[If it wasn't the noise the boomerang made, it was the fact that Bolverk was signaling to her that something was coming her way. Holding back her gasp, Noel manages to jump away from the oncoming weapon. Strangely enough, it looks like the person (whoever it was) completely missed their target.

In Luceti, Noel already knows it's a bad idea to take any chances; in this case, she should have listened to her gut feeling. Someone was here. Behind? More than likely. With the guns materializing in her hands, Noel turns, desperately seeking out the owner of the boomerang.]

Who's there!?

[Guns materializing from nowhere? This was interesting. Maybe they were something similar to Shushus. Either way, Remington is interested. Interested enough that he's going to consider leaving his shadows to strike up conversation.

And he has an excuse at hand for it.]

... I'm more wondering why someone would be asking something like that out of the blue.

Is sating my curiosity not a simple enough answer? It's not as if this village has much else for entertainment.

Perhaps some people don't like giving out information if they don't know what will happen to it. Companies frequently use that sort of scam nowadays, you know.

[Hm. He hadn't even considered that when asking the question. Hell, he's probably given out enough information about his own brother at this point that it could be used against him.

Why does he never think these things through better.] Of course. But there's no rule against not answering my question. And I'm more than sure that I'm not trying to scam anyone.
