On HP:

Whether you love the Harry Potter series or don't care for it, can we all just take a moment to appreciate the fact that people were waiting in lines and counting down to midnight for a book? That kids are really excited about reading, and that these books are not dumbed down for children? I think it's kind of wonderful.

it's funny that you posted this commentary on the harry potter phenomenon, because yesterday i was witnessing it first hand.

mario and i went to visit everyone at work(they stayed open because we are next to borders), and we watched all these children dressed up, waiting for this book to come out. i never realized how intense it was until then.

i'm glad that these kids are really eager to read . i hope, only, that they will continue to have that passion for reading, even after this.
