The parts about Gin were rather sad, though. :( Poor Rangiku...

It was a little sad, wasn't it? But I've always thought that Rangiku would have trouble letting go of Gin, if she ever could. And she'd end up comparing every relationship to the one she had with him.

Ken/Mat is kind of strange for me, but in a way, this really isn't Ken/Mat, is it? It's Gin/Mat, with Mat's present partner being a silent person, and one perhaps that doesn't really welcome her involvement/participation, so that allows Gin and Gin's voice to overwhelm her even in these most intimates moments. It's quite obvious that Matsu knows that it's Zaraki, but his immediate presence doesn't do anything to ward off Gin's image. It is really sad, for all of them, I think, even though Zaraki probably doesn't care, and Gin is too far out of reach for anything to matter to him, so it's really Matsu's own personal angst that is the key here.

I really did make this more about Gin/Rangiku...I think no matter what, he's always going to be in her thoughts. Even as she purposely does things to forget him.

Hehheh... no, actually, I think it's because your fics speak so much to me, and they're always complex enough that I enjoy the figuring out of their component parts.

One of my favourite Matsu scenes is the part where she's thinking about Gin, and Hitsugaya comes up behind her and straight away her mask does on and she complains about jumping out of her uniform, thus distracting him away from paying attention to her! I really want to know what happens when they meet again, this time on the battlefield!

I cannot wait for them to meet. I think Matsumoto fools a lot of people with that 'mask'...including fans who think she's a dumb blonde. I don't think they pay enough attention to detail. :D

It's so funny...I just wanted to write a shower scene...and then the other stuff just started working it's way in. Just like my TRC 'Pirate' fics...they were supposed to be plotless nonsense but they somehow got a backstory. I can't seem to help myself. XD
