i'm leaving for an observing run in india on monday and i don't know what book to take! anyone read any so-good-i-couldn't-put-it-down fiction books recently?

I really liked Kiran Desai's The Inheritance of Loss and John Banville's The Sea recently.

My sister really recommended History of Love by Nicole Krauss. It's my book club selection for January, but I haven't gotten to it yet.
